Diving in Ireland, cold water
Diving is an extraordinary experience. It always brings a smile on my face. Although in cold waters it looks a bit different than warm waters. Suits are different and it generaly is COLDER! You can still enjoy it a lot if you prepare yourself well.
In cold water we can find different life and other types of animals. Which is making it even more exciting. But also dangerous. We should be respectful in water and if we do not know the animal, better to stay on reasonable distance.
We need a different suits whether we go for dry suit, wet or semi wet suit, we might need warmer suits with few more milimiters of protection layer. A special warmers under or another warmer suit, that will give us this extra warm. Ask local divers what are their recommendations or ask friends what were they using and how was it. If you stay comfortable you will enjoy it more and for sure you can see more.
It is also important to know the deeper we go the easier and more dangerous it is to catch a free flow. We should practice this situations and know how to deal with it.
Remember diving is fun, but it is even more fun if you stay safe, and be respectful.
In Ireland I do recommend you to contact this company as they are very experienced and knows great spots to go to.
